Like his ancestor Ibn Aïssa, Abdallah travels through Morocco looking for reptiles whose names alone frighten people away: the sand viper, or the Atlas cobra.
The descendants of Ibn Aïssa, the Aïssaouas, feel immune to snakebite. A four-century-old "baraka" protects them. But conquering snakes is not Abdallah’s only power.
He also is a descendant of Sidi Rahal, the Master of the Spirits.
