OIC Declares East Jerusalem Capital of Palestine, Urges US to Withdraw from Peace Process

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), in a statement issued following an extraordinary summit in Turkey's Istanbul on Wednesday, declared East Jerusalem the capital of Palestine "under occupation" and urged the US to withdraw from the peace process and back down from its Jerusalem decision.

Several Muslim leaders and top diplomats geared up for a special summit of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on al-Quds in the Turkish city of Istanbul in criticizing a US President Donald Trump decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, Daily Sabah reported.
