Petition to award the residents of Greek islands with the Peace Nobel Prize for their contribution to the refugee crisis.

The Cyprus News Agency is inviting citizens to sign the petition to award the residents of Greek islands with the Peace Nobel Prize for their contribution to the refugee crisis.

CNA is asking the people of Cyprus to express their solidarity, through their support of the petition, with the efforts made by the residents of the Greek islands in the Eastern Aegean and the Greek authorities to offer hope for a better life to the thousands of Syrian refugees and economic migrants.

People can sign the electronic petition posted on CNA`s webiste (www.cna.org.cy).

The online campaign was started by activists, requesting that the Greek islands receive the Nobel Peace Prize for their response to the refugee crisis.

The “vote that the Greek Islands Receive the Nobel Peace Prize for their Contributions Aiding the Refugee Crisis,” was organized by Stephen K. from the United States. Stephen plans on sending the campaign signatures to the Nobel Prize Committee.

More than 800,000 refugees and migrants passed through the Greek islands of the Eastern Aegean Sea on their way to Europe for a better future.
